Steering Group Meetings
The Steering Group held 5 meetings during the Code’s development. It produced a draft Code in April 2013, which was subject to an 8-week consultation phase and met for a final time in June 2013 to finalise the Code.

Consultation Visits
The Steering Group recognised the need to engage widely with institutions to gauge the opinions of staff and student representatives and existing governing body members. Expert advisers visited each of the 19 Scottish higher education institutions between November 2012 and January 2013 to help the Steering Group take account of the range of views across the sector and to understand any institution-specific concerns or issues.
